XC Team Leads the College in Bike Challenge

 The Cross Country team joined with members of the Lewis & Clark faculty, staff and student body to bike over 13,000 miles in the month of September for the Bike Commute Challenge sponsored by the Bicycle Transportation Alliance.   The Bike Commute  Challenge is a friendly competition amongst workplaces to promote biking as an alternative form of transportation.  With 120 bikers participating to complete 1410 trips to the college, Lewis & Clark finished 3rd out of the 61 workplaces with over 500 employees.

Cross Country team members participating included:  Tamma Carleton '09, Daniel McDuff '09, Kitty Smith '09, Peter Klym '09, Zach Yeager '10, Rachel Kroencke '09, Kate Phillips '08, Jeff Carman '09, Fritz Fitzer '09, Amanda Phillips '08, Paul Mandsager '08, and Sage Coe Smith '09.
