Kelly Vega (Jr., Beaverton, Ore.) led the Pioneers to a 62-58 victory over the Carleton Knights on Wednesday, November 26, scoring 16 points. Vega went 7-12 from the floor and 2-2 from the free throw line, also grabbing four boards and a steal. With the leading scorer alternating each game, the Pioneers have proved to be a team loaded with offensive assets and talented freshmen. The win was the Pioneers' first for the season as they returned to NCAA Division III play after dropping three preseason games to NAIA Division I and II teams.
